Young KNCV was founded in 2006 as part of the KNCV. The Young KNCV Board promotes the interests of young members within the KNCV. Young KNCV organizes activities for its target group throughout the country, such as company visits, workshops and lectures.
Together with the VNCI (Association of Dutch Chemical Industry), the KNCV supports study associations in organizing symposia. For this we make an amount of money available per symposium and we provide materials for the goody bag. More information and an application can be submitted to jong@kncv.nl.
A company visit usually consists of a few informative presentations, a tour of the laboratories and/or production site, and drinks with young employees afterwards. This is an informal way of getting to know a company and the type of work it does. Perhaps you will make your first step into contact with your future employer.
During annual events such as the C2W Career Expo, Jong KNCV organizes workshops that help you develop yourself or find the right job. At these kinds of activities you can expand your network and gain useful knowledge. As a Young KNCV member, you can also call upon the help of a career coach free of charge throughout the year.
There is plenty of room for members’ own initiatives within Young KNCV. Ideas for new activities are always welcome. You too can become active and develop yourself, for example by organizing activities together with the Young KNCV Board. Of course, once a year, the Young KNCV is also looking for new enthusiastic board members!
